I've had someone do almost that exact same move on me before. Shit, it was even in a Buick! I swerved into the middle turn lane, slammed on my horn and the dumb bitch just kept on turning into my lane like there was nothing wrong.

I drive this stretch twice a day to mentor. That looks like the Bratenahl exit right? I love how they just stay committed to their assholeness even when there aren't any cars in front of them to slow them down anyway.

I don't really care that much about my car, but when this happens to me I do try my best to do as you did - avoid collision.

But some of these fuckers need a lesson taught to them.... If I didn't have to be somewhere, or have the want to file an insurance claim and all that fun stuff...
